Early in their careers, researchers often find that networking is the most valuable support. However, it’s also the stage at which they tend to be least connected, with limited conference experience and a small international network. Nevertheless, when connections are made, they can prove to be a significant boost to one’s own work.

From this insight we founded the IAPT Early Career Group, in order to make the best possible use of this platform within IAPT. Our regular online meetings are always held twice, so that participants from all time zones can join. These online meetings include presentations of research as well as discussions of relevant topics. At the IAPT Congress 2027 in Tübingen, we will also host sessions designed specifically for Early Career Researchers.

And most importantly: whether you are “Early Career” or not is entirely up to you. If you see yourself as Early Career, we warmly invite you to get in touch with us!
